I have known Thibaud for more than 5 years and we started to work closely together from 2015.

I took over the position of General Manger in Indonesia. Thibaud took over the position of Finance and Commercial Manager in Indonesia.

Our initial focus in was to deliver the Jangkrik Project, 4 billion US$ invested, key gas to LNG project for Indonesia offshore Kalimantan (Operated by Eni). Thibaud was in charge of all commercial and marketing activities. This major project was a great technical and commercial success. It was executed under the initial budget (-10%) and 2 months ahead of schedule, with excellent HSE performance, more than 30 million man-hours worked with no significant accidents / incidents.

The marketing strategy was finalized Q2-2017 with the signature of two major LNG contracts. Production started mid-2017.

During the various phase of the Jangkrik project, I developed a strong relationship with Thibaud based on commitment, challenge, transparency and trust allowing us to take quick decisions and optimize the management of the team to focus it on delivering the project. This relationship was crucial as convincing and aligning Shareholders, Partners and Stakeholders was the critical path to success.

Our second focus was the Engie E&P / Indonesian assets sales process, when Engie decided late 2015 to divest from the E&P business. This long process started early 2016 running until mid-2017 with the diligence phase with potential buyers. In February 2018, Neptune Energy took over all the Engie E&P activities. Thibaud was in charge of managing a smooth transition from Engie to Neptune Energy for all the financial and commercial activities, contributing to the integration of the Indonesian Structure in the new company model.

Again, the success of the Indonesian activities was the result of the excellent relationship with Thibaud. Being both fully aligned, we were able to challenge the Operator and convince our management to invest to further develop the business in Indonesia. Indonesia became a key area for Neptune Energy following overall excellent performance.

Thibaud has a long and strong work experience in various and difficult environments and cultures. He is a proven and well recognized manager. He is a hard worker with a flexible attitude and an excellent adaptability to changing environment. He is always focus on delivering above expectations. He has a proven ability to work with Partners and develop strong relationship with Stakeholders. He has the capability to develop company image and influence in the country, through active networking.

Thibaud can manage and drive Technical and non-Technical Teams to success. He can quickly gain the confidence of his Team, partners and shareholders. His strong financial and commercial background is a clear advantage and key strength for running and further developing a company. He can define and promote the bigger picture leading to the right investment decisions.

It’s my pleasure to provide this letter of recommendation for Thibaud. As CFO at GNL Mejillones (ENGIE group) in Chile, I was his direct manager and I’ve worked closely with him. Thibaud was responsible for internal control and he consistently exceeded his goals.

He’s well-spoken in Spanish and English, has excellent communication skills and he has a cut clear understanding of our business, the gas industry and the energy markets.

He did not only provide efficient work related to his core responsibilities, but he also established productive relations with his co-workers and with our different stakeholders. During my tenure as CFO at GNL Mejillones (ENGIE group, formerly known as GDF Suez) in Santiago, Chile, I hired him in 2012 for the role of Senior Business Quality Manager in charge of Internal control within the GNLM organization.

In my capacity as his direct manager during a two-year timespan, I was impressed by Thibaud’s quick learning capabilities, commitment and work ethos.

Thibaud has a self-starter mentality and rapidly developed a network across the organization, both with the administrative and commercial teams at the Head Office in Santiago and with the technical operators in the regasification plant located in the Atacama Desert. He successfully implemented stringent internal control procedures within the organization compliant with the ENGIE group standards but more importantly, he was instrumental in fostering a company culture of transparency, efficiency and accountability. These achievements were recognized within the wider ENGIE internal control community.

Moreover, Thibaud was not only in charge of internal control as I gave him several other responsibilities. For instance, he was in charge of managing all the insurance contracts of the regasification plant, he has been the team lead on several special projects such as the procurement department reorganization, and was also in charge of two ERP/SAP development projects for a total amount of 200 KUSD, which translated into tangible long-lasting results for the organization.

It was a pleasure working with Thibaud because he was a great team player and full of energy. His proficiency in English and Spanish earned him respect from his peers and made him a role model for many of his colleagues.
